    User Research - Lo-fi and Hi-fi prototypes

    I took part in research with the client research team and then synthesize information for the e-commerce store and build the complete design layout.

I rely heavily on the double diamond process as it allows you to stay focused from the over-view (converge-diverge) and also from inside as well.

User research

 

We conducted user research with Fantic’s user research team and worked on 5 different user personas. We talked to people of different age groups, from 27 years to 65 years old, and understand their requirements and pain points while purchasing the e-scooter in the current market scenario. ( also considered post-COVID-19 behaviour )

We dig deeper into the buyer process and understand the various important aspects like a trigger, evaluation, decision making, etc. It helped us to figure out that most of our users would like to have some discount either on the main product or accessories. It also helped us to curate some upselling and crossing marketing campaigns.

After the synthesis of user research, we gather all the information and decided to move ahead for defining the design direction and what design language we need to follow throughout the e-commerce store. Here is the approach that we followed while designing the website, the main objective was to show the affordability and accessibility with the overall design. We paid close attention to image selection, fonts, and colors, with strong colors, like red and black we are showing the rigidness and sturdiness of the monopattino. For developing a more human touch and humanistic approach we tried to show images with more human emotions and actions. We applied the same tone of voice to fonts and graphics as well.
